People always ask me why I majored in Geography, which seemed out of place in comparison with my more traditional majors—Business and Economics. I love geography and received a 3.8 major GPA because of its interdisciplinary nature. My coursework in geography covered economics, political science, landscape architecture, environmental biology, statistics, and many other areas. Similarly, it is important in entrepreneurship to analyze the relationships between various functions in order to generate meaningful insights, strategies, and recommended courses of action for a start-up.
